Pete's baby bro Paul just got married this last weekend. We were lucky enough to be there for the big day! I can't believe the Knight family is all married off now....

Paul and Lindsay got married on our 5 year anniversary! It was fun to be with everyone and especially in the temple to witness a sealing on our anniversary. Such a good reminder of what we went through 5 years ago. I am so lucky to have such a great husband!

So I HAVE been doing something lately....just not blogging. Here's the scoop:

Hair Glitz and Hair Feathers

Above is Hair Glitz. It's tied onto the hair at the root. Sparkly and comes in lots of colors. Can be washed and heat styled too! Stays in for 2-6 weeks on avg.

These are hair feathers! Put into your hair like a hair extension. Can be washed and heat styled as well (yes, curled and flat ironed, just like the glitz!)

SO CUTE and trendy right now! We have TONS of colors.

Yes, yes I know I've been sooooo horrible at keeping up with my blog. I have basically been using my blog to look at everyone else's! I've just been busy and lazy and it hasn't been a priority....hopefully that is changing! Just wanted to do a little update. Of course, these pics are mostly Jayda, because that is my life right now! She is 1.5 this week and is SO smart. She blows us aways with how fast she learns and what she remembers.

One of her favorite places, which happens to be right down the street from us!

She discovered where my mom stores the rice...and loves sticking her hand in the bucket and "playing" with it!

Another love....guitars! My brother Michael and my Dad are the culprits here. My brother was doing some work on his guitar and left it on the couch. Jayda was thrilled to see it there and kept climbing on the couch and sitting with it all day long.

Recap of November: We got to meet up with Pete's parents in Arizona for a few days. We hit up the zoo (Jayda's first time) and she LOVED the "petting zoo" portion of it!

I asked Jayda to smile and this is what I got! I love this girl : )

Yes, we are totally matching! It was just too cute. We went to the mall and walked around in the amazing weather that we've been having and showed off our cute hats that Jen made!

Ok so I'm trying to get better at posting more often on my blog. I've totally been a slacker lately, but at least once a month is better than nothing!! SO for the month of October I will share our little Utah trip that we took over Halloween weekend for my cousin Sarah's wedding. She asked me to be her photographer and I couldn't have been happier with the results! She and her husband are very photogenic and made my job cake! I had SO much fun shooting this wedding!

It was great being in Utah because we got to see lots of family. We were able to meet up with my sis-in-law and her bf for dinner at my Aunt's house. It was so fun seeing her! Oh and my bro was nice enough to drag us all over the place while we were in town. Love them!

We got home on Halloween and had dinner plans so I quickly dressed J up in her "costume" (which isn't really much, but still super cute) and snapped a few pics to document, naturally. She had so much fun walking around in the yard and playing with those necklaces.

I realized I had only ONE bath pic since she was born, and I desperately needed to add to that album : ) So, here is one of the few I took during her last bath. She loves her baths!

She is getting so big and I just want to capture every single thing she does on camera, stills or video, either works! I'm crazy, I know...I figured I have taken over 2,000 photos of her in her first year, judging by my photo count in iphoto! Someone take me to a therapist, pronto!

So I got a new lens and I was excited to use it. Canon 85mm 1.8! Naturally I would have tested it out on Jayda but she was napping, so Beasley was the next best thing! I am loving it!

So I finally got to use it on my baby. She gave me the best smile! Well, she actually gave it to my mom, who can pretty much always get her to smile...Still has 6 teeth.

Happy Birthday a few weeks ago! She is my life and I can't believe it's been a year. We are so lucky to have this sweet girl in our lives. She is walking, talking and totally knows how to throw a fit : )

I can kiss those cheeks all day.

So I know I've been horrible at keeping this blog updated but here's my attempt! We went to my dad's family reunion in Daytona Beach, FL a few weeks ago. We went a day early and went to the Epcot theme park. It was suuuuper hot at one point but still fun! Jayda was soooo good, we couldn't have asked for her to be any better! Here she is watching the the little sparrows eat some bread crumbs in the grass at Epcot....she LOVES birds : ) She could have done this alll day.

I'm pretty sure this was in Germany, where we had the best Brats and Sauerkraut I've ever had.

Most of the fam at the reunion went on a dinner cruise on night. It was fun. Jayda loved being on the dance floor and groovin to the music.

This girl was RUNNING, well, crawling towards the water as fast as she could just about every other minute. Fearless.

We made a pit stop in KY to say hi to the fam and friends. G-pa Knight had fun playing the piano with Jayda. She would grab his fingers and "help" him play. It was so cute.

After being gone for almost 2 weeks it was SO nice to be home! Here she is with her breakfast alllll over her face. Yum : ) I know I sound like a broken record but she is just the cutest thing. We are so lucky to have her in our family!

So it's been awhile but yes, I'm still alive! And kicking! Well, when I get enough sleep that night..... Anyway, my baby loves baskets. Enough to sit in them and look super cute : )

And she has 2 teeth! This is the first photo I have of them.... And she is crawling everywhere! She is FAST! She is learning how to crawl up the stairs which scares me but I am always there to help her! She pulls up on everything too. It's always so adorable when I walk into her room after her nap and she is standing in her crib and gives me a HUGE smile!!!

I shot a wedding this weekend and they tagged along with me since we would be gone most of the day. This is what I saw when I was done for the day! A hot, tired and sweaty baby!

This is kinda old but it was my first mother's day! Yay for mommys : )

So we had a 6 month old / Easter photo shoot this last week! My mom and I had so much fun dressing her up and posing her. My mom put one of my big pink flower headbands on her and it was so perfect we left it on! I couldn't have gotten those adorable smiles without Mom : )

Jayda has been doing great. She can almost sit up by herself completely and is getting stronger everyday. She has been eating rice cereal, sweet potatoes and is now onto avocados! She has definitely improved with her tummy time and can push all the way up on her arms now. She LOVES music and dancing. She is very vocal but also a good listener. She has so much personality and is such a happy baby. She keeps us on our toes and entertained all day. In other words, we love her soooooo much!!!!!

We made it to CA! We are sooo happy here and are loving being near family and old friends. My bro, Michael, flew out to KY to help us with packing and everything. He flew home with me, Jayda and the 2 dogs....I couldn't have done it without him! In the meantime Pete and his Dad drove the UHaul and pulled our car behind it. They unfortunately got caught in that horrible snow storm in Flagstaff, AZ. They had to drive like 30 mph for about 6 hours or so since there was sooo much snow! I wish they didn't have to drive through that but I am sooooo glad we didn't have to drive through that with Jayda. Anyway, we all arrived home safe and sound!

We are pretty much settled for now and are going through some new stages with our cutie pie.

She's still not a fan of "tummy time" but she puts up with it for a little while if she has toys to distract her....She's getting stronger and reaching for everything!!! Once she's got hold of it then it goes straight to her mouth! She's also trying to sit up a lot more and can do a pretty good job with a little assistance.

Still has those baby blues!

She's still losing her hair but she's still adorable!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years. Pete was feeling kinda rundown New Year's Eve so he ended up going to bed at like 9:30...Jayda finally fell asleep just before midnight so I got to watch the ball drop in my bed with my hubby sound asleep next to me. Hahaha, happy new year??? So far we've been off to a good start. We are moving back to CA!!! Can't wait : )

I know this is a month late, but better late than never! We spent Thanksgiving with the Knights this year. Martha, Paul, and Aunt Linda came to town and spent the week with everyone! We had so much fun!

Weighing in at 12 lbs 2 oz as of today!! Dr. says she in the 90th percentile in weight...haha. My little piggy needs to cut back on the feedings a bit!!! Other than that she's perfect! And her bum is all healed up if you were wondering thanks to DESITIN!!! That stuff is amazing. She is the best baby ever and gave me 7 hours of sleep on Saturday night - what a great gift!! Nothing consistent yet but we are getting there.

I can't believe my baby is almost 1 month old next week....where has the time gone???? I feel like I just came home from the hospital with her.....

She's doing really well overall. As of Thursday she weighs 8lbs 12 oz!!! She gained 1 pound in 10 days!!! It doesn't surprise me...she's been eating like crazy! She is sooooo cute - I can't stop staring at her! I guess I am biased since she is our baby but I can't help looking at that adorable little face!!!

We are trying to get over a persistent diaper rash now. Part of what she has is a yeast infection as well. We have a prescription ointment from the pediatrician but if anyone has any good home remedies we are open to anything!

Pete and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary this last week. We went to dinner at the same place we ate at after we got engaged in a hot air balloon! We had some good italian food : )

Here I am at 33 weeks....

This week at 35 weeks....feeling BIG. I can definitely say I am ready to have my skin and stomach back to myself!

Pete's little bro Paul came home from his mission about 3 weeks ago. We went bowling one night, a favorite activity of the Knight men....I sat out and watched - didn't want to even attempt anything of the sort with my already off balance and who knows what else....

One last thing that is SO note worthy...tomorrow is my LAST DAY OF WORK!!!! YAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!

33 Weeks

I am measuring about 42 inches around now....sheesh! Pete's shirts fit sooooo much better than mine now - unless mine were big to begin with. I am thirsty alllll day long but as a result have to use the bathroom everytime I stand up! Real nice.....

Other than that I can tell my energy level is going back down. It's so hard to get up in the mornings and have long days at work - won't be long til that chapter of my life is over though - then on to the next!

Pete took me shopping for a few hours and wore me out, but got me some really cute stuff!

28 Weeks - My shirts are definitely getting tight! I start seeing the Dr. every other week.

29 Weeks - Dresses are a lot more comfy!!!

30 Weeks - She is kicking and moving A LOT! Went to the Dr. again today and got to hear her heartbeat. Doc said she sounded good! I still feel pretty good - other than the fact that my stomach is feeling big and heavy now. I've gained about 20 lbs. so far....10 more weeks to go!

We went on a 10 day Florida vacation with our friends Street and Jessica and their 2 girls. It was SOOOO nice to get away from work and everything and just relax! We went to the beach/pool just about everyday! This is us at the Fort Lauderdale Beach.

We did this allllll day :)

Can you tell where Pete didn't put his sunblock on??? Ha! By the end of the week he got his tan pretty evened out.

For our "date night" Pete and I went to a Polynesian dinner and show!

Pete and Street were part of a seminar for work in Tampa for the last 2 days of our trip. We had some sweet rooms at the Marriot!

23 and 24 Weeks

Here I am at 23 weeks. We were in Florida all last week and I didn't get a chance to post but made sure I got a pic!

I got some REALLY cute dresses at Motherhood Maternity while we were in Florida at an Outlet Mall. This green one is one of my favorites!

I am on week 24 as of today - 6 months! Can't believe it! Still feelin' good...especially with my new tan! :)

The managers decided to hold a "Jeopardy" meeting/training session for everyone at work. However, they all felt they needed to have a connection with Alex Trebek...by growing out mustaches. They grew out their goatees or didn't shave at all for around 2 weeks and then shaped their facial hair into a sweeeet 'stache. Ha! I think Pete hated it more than I did! He just hated having so much hair on his face the whole time. The end result was hilarious and turned out to be the best meeting we've ever had a t work! Good job guys!

I have no words.....

I'll be honest, even though I'm not a fan of the 'stache he's still SO cute!

We finished off the day with a yummy dinner at O' Charleys. Pete shaved as soon as he got home :)

I have been feeling our little lady kick a lot more this week - harder and more frequently. I have been feeling great though - besides long days at work I've been fine! Not sick at all - just getting used to having a growing belly. Still trying to think of some cute girl names... any suggestions?

Ok so here she is!! Sorry for the LAME pictures but it's after midnight and I wanted to make this quick....so a picture of a picture will have to do for now :) We got this cheesy little frame from the Dr.'s office and thought it would be cute! Ha! Anyway, here she is! I thought this one looked a little like an alien but everyone thinks it looks a little like Pete, or me, or both of us...haha, so there you go, one happy little alien family mushed into one person.

So this is the "confirmation" that she is a she! It was actually the first thing we saw as soon as they started the ultrasound. Basically a pic of her bum from the underside with her little legs spread wide....Pretty exciting!

She was moving and kicking and kept putting her hand in front of her face...camera shy. Poor baby...her mom is going to have a camera stuck in her face for at least the first few months! I wasn't expecting to have the 4-D ultrasound but the tech just did it! It was awesome! And we didn't have to pay extra for it.

I had a feeling it was a girl the whole time. Pete said he did too but never told me...he of course wanted a boy, but we are ECSTATIC for a sweet little girl! It is going to be so much fun being her mommy! She checked out looking great. 12 oz. Still set to join us on Sept. 29th : )

Thunder Over Louisville

Saturday we went to an even that Louisville has every year called Thunder Over Louisville. They had an air show from 3pm until it got dark. They used all kinds of aircraft from the airforce. It was actually pretty cool to see the different types of planes, many of them used in war in the past and nowadays. They did lots of tricks and made it fun to see. Once it got dark they had an amazing fireworks show...bigger than any I've ever seen! I stole a pic of the fireworks off some guy's website. I figured I'd be able to find one a lot better than I could have taken w/ my little camera out there. As you can see there were TONS of people there and traffic was a BEAST afterwards. We got home around midnight and were sooooooooo tired. It was torture to wake up on Sunday....at noon...for church at 1pm : ) Honestly though when I woke up I felt like I had 2 hours of sleep, haha.

Pete got a nice little sunburn being outside all day!

They set off the fireworks over the Ohio River. Soooo cool. They shot the firworks off the bridge and a few barges in the river. They played music that went along with the fireworks too!

Ok after much delay...here is the first pic! Coming around, slowly but surely! I had another Dr.'s appt today and got to hear the heartbeat again. So fun! We find out if it's a boy or girl in 4 more weeks!

We had a nice relaxing Easter with Pete's parents and can't wait for this crazy weather to stop and just leave me with some SUNSHINE!

And yes, I did chop my hair off a few weeks ago for those who were wondering! I was just OVER long hair for now!

A few weeks ago we went to Indiana to see the game! We went with a few other people at work and had lots of fun! We had 4th row seats, center court. Pete was, of course, in heaven!

We were soo close! It was awesome.

Wedding in Phoenix

I got to take a nice little getaway to SUNNY WARM Phoenix a few weekends ago. It was SOOOO nice to get away and not go to work! Colette is a good friend and roommate of 2 years up at BYU-Idaho. She found her prince charming and they tied the knot! I was one of her bridesmaids. Here are just a few quick snapshots I took at her beautiful backyard reception.

Her "cupCAKE" wedding cake was BEAUTIFUL. What a sight!

Oh I also got to stay with my good friend Jen and her cute little family after the wedding for a few days. Her CUTIE of a little boy was such a doll and made sure to entertain me while I was at his place. Jen and her hubby were so sweet to take care of me and drive me around town. I am SO wishing I was back there now...so nice and warm! It is FREEZING here today and raining!!!!

Baby Knight due Sept. 29

Here's our little 1 cm long peanut! We went to the Dr. for the first time on Monday and got to see this little blob inside of me with a little heart racing a mile a minute! It was so much fun to see! At least it was for me.....Pete got a little queasy/motion sick from watching the ultra sound screen and had to leave the room as soon as he saw the little heartbeat! Haha my poor hubby doesn't know what's in store for him - it's only week 9!

Ice/Snow Storm

Ok so this is old news but I just downloaded these pics from my camera and had to post them! We had a bad storm roll through here (not surprising, seeing as we have had every kind of crazy thing happen since we've moved out here!) and it seemed to get worse and worse each day! The poor dogs got sooo cold but they dealt with it. Fiona refused to even touch the snow at first but after holding if for a day she figured it had to be done!

We took the dogs out one night and saw that the ice had competely covered this tree! It was so pretty!

Then it just kept getting snowing and freezing over and snowing and freezing over......

And the trees couldn't take it anymore! This one had the strength to just bend over due to the weight of the ice but many older bigger trees just broke left and right!

The whole thing lasted about a week.....that's one week too long for me! I'm ready for some CA sunshine!!!

We did most of our Christmas "celebrating" on Christmas Eve this year because Pete's parents invited around 30 missionaries over for breakfast on Christmas Day! We wanted to have our family time before all of the chaos so we did gifts and stockings the night before.

Ok so it's totally past the pretty fall season here in Kentucky where the weather is perfect and the leaves are changing and everything....but I took these a while back and wanted to at least post them since I made Pete drive me around to find some pretty "kodak" areas that had some leaves still on the trees. The weather now? FREEZING and NOT FUN! Haha, poor me.

Pete got the "Porterhouse for Two"....more like for 5! That steak was HUGE and could barley fit on the plate! We had appetizers and salads before, so by the time our entrees came out we could hardly eat any of it and had plenty of take-out for the next day!

Since the restaurant is on top of a super tall building, we walked around the wrap-around balcony after dinner and enjoyed the view of Louisville!

Wind Storm!

Sunday we experienced a big wind storm that I definitely was NOT expecting! We were in church when the wind really picked up and when we got out - an hour early - roads everywhere were blocked with fallen trees. As you can see, the damage was quite extensive for many. We were so blessed not to have any problems. Most of our friends and Pete's parents had no electricity for a few days...some STILL don't even have power now!

Monday morning we were running low on gas and figured we would get some on the way to work. We didn't realize how extensive the damage was until we drove down a busy street and saw that grocery stores, fast food and restaurants, businesses, and many (not all) gas stations were shut down because they had no power! By the end of the day grocery stores and other places were throwing out their frozen foods because they were all thawing out!

So we walked through this museum in Gatlinburg and there were some CRAZY things we saw and learned! We didn't take pics of everything we saw because there was just too much but here are some good ones.

This is just a painting that was on the wall, and I always make Pete be in pics so...here he is, looking up the stairs with his traveling friend.

I was busy looking out the window of the high tower with my cool gloves and binoculars. It TOTALLY looks like I was leaning on the ledge! Ha.

So, this is a model of the tallest man, ever! He was really this tall! They were showing videos of him and everything!!!!!

We went to the aquarium right next door to our hotel in Gatlinburg. It was amazing! We felt like we were watching Blue Planet all over again!

We decided it was the perfect time to take a little getaway to celebrate our 2nd year anniversary. We drove 4 hours to a cute little town called Gatlinburg, TN. We stayed over Labor Day weekend and had fun shopping, relaxing, and best of all, NOT WORKING!

Ok so I have never been tagged until now, but here ya go!

5 things I was doing 10 years ago:

1. I was in 8th grade, ha, good times. I had to wear a uniform to school and would try and alter my clothes as much as possible without being caught.

2. I am sure I was in the "akward" stage.

3. I was a teenager for the first time ever! Super exciting.

4. I was kind of crazy and was willing to do almost anything to make people laugh.

5. I was SO over jr. high, and SO ready for high school : )

Happy 4th! We forgot to take any kind of festive pics because we were unpacking most of the day. We managed to hang out with some other fun couples and go see "Get Smart" and get a bite to eat. By the time it got dark enough for fireworks, a huge thunderstorm made itself known and we decided to call it a night!

After our first day at work! It was definitely a bit overwhelming with all of the info we were trying to learn, but it'll get easier...... We are both working in the same office and LOVE it! We get to go and come home from work together everyday!

We survived our first week of work! We were exhausted. Our weekend was great - no work involved! We got to spend some time running errands and even taking a peek and some homes! We are so excited to get our lives going here!

The weekend before we moved we were able to hang out with Tammy, Brandon, Lauri and Billy for one last time. We went to an awesome chinese restaurant and had a FEAST!!!!! (Thanks to Lauri and Billy!) It was so good but we had soooooo much food! We ended our meal with yummy chocolate dipped fortune cookies and then saw a movie together. We already miss them!

April Fools!

Tammy and I decided that we were going to play a little April Fools joke on Pete and Brandon. We told them the night before that we entered them in some drawing for tickets to an NBA game through some pop-up window while we were on the internet. They thought it was cool but didn't really think much about it. The next day (April 1st) Pete and I went to Tammy and Brandon's house for dinner. Brandon got a call from "David from Ticket Express" who informed him that his name was pulled from "the online raffle" and he won 2 tickets to the Phoenix game! He was skeptical at first but David was SO good and convinced him! Pete and Brandon were so excited that they started planning our trip down to AZ. About an hour later, after dinner, Tammy said she wanted a picture of our hubbys together. They got together and smiled at my camera phone when Tammy said, "I just want to get a picture of their expressions when I tell them that we just played the best April Fools joke on them ever!" Tammy and I couldn't hold it in any longer and started cracking up while the guys just sat there......and I got the shot to prove it!

We had FHE with the Gallups and the Holmes last Monday. Pete and I brought our "marble slab" to mix toppings into our ice cream (like coldstone). It was so fun and sooo good! It got a bit messy though and the guys were there to take over!

Moving

Pete was nice enough to go with me to the wedding and reception that I had to shoot. It was an all day event but he got some goodies in the end!

We flew to Louisville, KY in March for a week. We anticipated a long flight and made sure we had our cool neck pillows.

Now we are getting ready to go back! We will be moving there in about a week!

We gave Freddy a little trim while we were there. He looks like a puppy again!

Other fun trips in '07

In September Pete's family went out to Palm Springs for a week and we got to join them! Lora finally got to see Pete's golf skills and drive around in a golf cart. It was so hot but so nice to have a little time off with the family.

For Thanksgiving we went to Florida to be with all of Pete's extended family. We visited their first home in Miami and were able to meet and see a lot of family. Then we went up to Orlando and went to the Magic Kingdom for a day!

This was on the Rock n' Rollercoaster-Pete was a bit scared..... We also went on the Tower of Terror and the Star Wars rides. There was a cool stunt show we got to see as well.

When we were checking into our hotel in Orlando, we noticed that there was an NBA game scheduled for the next day. It was the Miami Heat vs. the Orlando Magic. Pete's dream player, Penny Hardaway was on the Heat at that time, so there was no question about whether we were going or not. We had a blast!

On our last day out there we were able to go and visit some of Pete's other family. It was fun to be with them and get a chance to get to know them a little more.

Maui-April 2007

About a week after we graduated, Pete's parents took us to Maui for a graduation present! It was AMAZING and soooo nice to relax for a few days before we dove into the "real" world.

Pete was my cute little model while we were waiting for a table at this restaurant on the beach!

With our toes in the sand, we made sure to get some yummy drinks!

Being out by the pool was a very nice change from cold, snowy Rexburg.

Pete fed the coy fish some Pringles crumbs (even though we weren't supposed to). They swarmed like crazy to eat every last piece!

Since we have graduated almost a year ago this April, we have had some fun things going on in our lives. We left Rexburg, ID and moved in with Lora's parents to get our lives started. While we were there, we were able to go to several weddings at the LA and Huntington temples....

We've celebrated several birthdays with the family and our 1 year anniversary (yay!)...

We had a wild taxi ride in downtown LA with our good friends Tammy and Brandon...

We had plenty of cones from McDonalds and had fun dressing up Miss Fiona for Haloween.
